Endless lists of family membership combinations are not required in ClubLANE. As a club, you will only need to set up single membership types (e.g. Swimmer, Non Swimmer, Junior Swimmer, etc.). In the screenshot below, you will see that only single memberships have been set up.
In order for your members to be able to pay for multiple members in one single transaction (i.e. a family membership), the following MUST be set up:
- All members of a family are linked together (Instructions)
- Create club-specific single membership types (if applicable) (Instructions)
- Club membership fee input into ClubLANE (Instructions)
ClubLANE will pick up on what each linked family member’s member type is when processing the transaction. The total transaction charge for linked members will be the total sum of applicable membership fees (Swimming Australia, Swimming NSW, Area/Region and your club fees).
Based on the fees set in the screenshot above, ClubLANE would charge a linked family, containing one Non-Swimmer and two Swimmers, $171.50 ($21.50 + $75 + $75).
An added benefit to linking members within their family is that clubs now have the ability to offer discounts on their club fee for families, through the form of Discount Packages. These packages will automatically display a discounted amount that a family of a specific combination will pay when their family’s primary member logs in to MyLANE to renew.
