There are multiple ways to display information relevant to your meet through your APT Website Calendar. These are:
- Using the built in ‘Details’ pop-up box
- Using a HTML page created through your club’s APT website portal (Visage)
Before you begin:
- Ensure you have all your information ready to create the content of the page
- Any documents that need to be linked into the details have been uploaded to your ‘Visage’ portal (Instructions)
- Set up your meet in ClubLANE (Instructions)
- Set up your meet to display in your APT Calendar (Instructions)
Log in to ClubLANE and click on Meets from the top menu bar.
Select List of Meets from the Meets drop-down menu.
Locate and click on the meet you wish to publish on your clubs APT website.
Select Edit on the Web Display tab.
To publish information to the Details pop-up box:
After a user selects the Details button (above image) from the Calendar on your websites homepage, the Details pop-up box will be displayed. The below image indicates how the information is displayed through the Details pop-up box and how the fields in ClubLANE populate the pop-up.
The Main details are populated from data entered in the Details tab of your meet in ClubLANE.
The Meet Information is a combination of the Summary & Detail display information entered in the Web display fields of your meet in ClubLANE.
The Summary & Detail both display in the Details pop-up.
Summary display – A short brief about your meet displaying key information for attendees
Detail display -This is a more detailed overview of the event including information such as event entry fees, qualification information, ticketing and parking information (should that apply), etc.
The Summary & Detail display boxes are basic editors, so simple formatting can be applied to your text as well as hyperlinks added to communicate additional information.
If you are using the Details pop-up box to display your meet information, leave the Event URL box blank.
Click 'Save' once you are happy with the event details.
To publish information to a HTML page:
Publishing your meet information to a HTML page means that when a user selects the Detail button from the homepage of your website they will be directed to a webpage, created through your club’s Visage portal. If you are directing the Details button to a HTML page, you will need to ensure that there is no information entered into the Summary Display and Details Display fields.
Firstly, ensure you have created the HTML page in Visage (Instructions).
Copy the link at the top of the Page Edit screen
Paste this link into the Event URL field.
