Help Guide for Coach Reaccreditation
This guide will provide instructions, links and helpful tips to assist you with the coach reaccreditation process and the new document requirements for coach reaccreditation.
Please note that it is recommended you submit re-accreditation up to one month prior to expiry to
Step 1: Download and complete the Reaccreditation application form
- Download the application form from the Swimming Australia website, Renew Your Accreditation page
- Make sure you can provide documentary evidence or obtain sign off for all Personal Development points claimed. Please refer to the evidence examples document
- Complete both sides of the application form and upload to Swim central under Document Category Accreditation and Enrolment > Document Type Reaccreditation Application Form
- Complete and upload any evidence of your personal development to Swim Central under Document Category 'Professional Development' > Document Type 'Coach Reaccreditation PD Evidence' or any other options from the list.
Step 2: Check document requirements for reaccreditation
These are compulsory integrity requirements all coaches must complete for reaccreditation. They are short, online courses which are free to complete. On successful completion of each course, there will be an official certificate available – this is what you must upload to Swim Central.
This certificate must include your name.
- Upload your Sport Integrity Australia certificate to Swim Central as a document category 'Certificate' then upload as each of the following document types (as required):
- Sport Integrity Australia Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction
- Sport Integrity Australia Anti-Doping Fundamentals Course (formerly Level 1)
- Sport Integrity Australia Annual Update
- Sport Integrity Australia Coaches Course Certificate
- Sport Integrity Australia Whereabouts Certificate
- Sport Integrity Australia Competition Manipulation and Sports Betting (previously Match-Fixing)
Employer Letter (Coach Hours)
- An additional letter needs to be provided as evidence of required Professional Practice hours
- This letter can be provided by your employer, club president, state swimming organisation or facility manager (if self-employed)
- The letter must be provided on letterhead and dated
- The letter must verify you have completed the required hours as indicated on the application form
- The letter must be uploaded to Swim Central as document category Professional Development > document type Employer Letter (Coach Hours)
First Aid certificate
- A current First Aid certificate of attainment (HLTAID011) is required for coach reaccreditation
- Upload as document category Certificate > document type First Aid certificate and enter a 3 year expiry from date of issue
- If you have not yet completed a First Aid course or require an update, please contact Swimming Australia at coaching@swimming.org.au for assistance with your document requirement
- Certificates are only valid if they are produced from a Registered Training Organisation, include the completed date and show the course code.
CPR certificate
- A current CPR certificate of attainment (HLTAID009) is required for coach reaccreditation
- Upload as
- document category Certificate > document type CPR certificate and enter a 1 year expiry from date of issue
- Your First Aid and CPR may be on the same document but you must upload a document against each requirement in Swim Central (i.e. may need to upload the same document twice with different file name)
- Certificates are only valid if they are produced from a Registered Training Organisation, include the completed date and show the course code.
Note: If you believe you have uploaded your document and it’s still not showing, it’s likely you have not loaded your document as the correct document category and document type.

Step 3: Purchase the Reaccreditation
- Login to Swim Central https://swimcentral.swimming.org.au.
- Go to Store
- Select National Coaching Products and select Reaccreditation from the dropdown list
- Select your name from the dropdown
- Click on the correct product for your accreditation level
- Any document requirements will need to be uploaded in order to proceed with the purchase.
- Once uploaded you will be able to Add to Cart however after purchase it will remain as pending approval until the documents have been verified within 6 days of purchase.
Step 4: Swimming Australia Coach Accreditation update
Once all your documents are uploaded and your reaccreditation product has been purchased, there will be a verification process completed by an administrator at Swimming Australia. Please allow up to 6 days for this process to be completed. Once completed your accreditation will be visible under Accreditations.
