A coach will only be accepted as an Accredited Person for each Event if:

• Their Swimming Australia Coach Accreditation is current and valid in Swim Central (including active Coaching ID);
• All coach accreditation documents are valid in Swim Central through to the last day of Event competition (including but not limited to the following documents: Working With Children Check, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate).
• International Coaches wishing to apply for an Australian event will need to email coaching@swimming.org.au
• An appropriate and clear passport style photo must be attached to your account. Please note, photos with sunglasses, cameras, side profiles, images of characters or other people, and/or profiles missing a photo etc will not be accepted.

Applications must be completed through Swim Central.

Accreditation applications will not be accepted on the day of competition. 

National Institutes

(NINs)

Persons in this category are contracted personnel by State/National Institutes such as QAS, NSWIS etc, must hold valid working with children check and the appropriate registration certificates based on the role being performed. This is managed by one ‘NIN Admin’ to complete for all staff.
Physiotherapist: must hold valid working with children check, current AHPRA Certificate of Registration

Team Manager: this is the hub manager for the institute and must hold valid working with children check and must supply the organisations Certificate of Currency/Public Liabilibity Insurance.

TEAM SUPPORT PASS INCLUDES:

Exercise Physiologist: must hold valid working with children check and current ESSA Certificate of Registration AspS1 of 2

Massage Therapist: must hold valid working with children check and Diploma in Remedial Massage

Psychologist: must hold valid working with children check and current AHPRA Certificate of Registration

Strength & Conditioning Coach: must hold valid working with children check and current Coach ASCA Level 2 Certificate

*Accreditation applications must be uploaded by the NIN Admin and will be approved by Swimming Australia.

Due to this being a National event, access to pool deck to support multi class athletes is strictly limited to those who have the A and/or T Exceptions attached to their classification. We encourage participants and attendees to maintain appropriate levels of wellbeing, independence, and self-management to be able to navigate the competition environment and managing the rigours of elite competition.

For athletes that do not have the A or T exception and require assistance with their swimsuits, accessible bathrooms will be available outside of the accredited areas for athletes to meet with their parents and carers for this purpose.

Applications will be processed via Swim Central for $45 for eligible members. You must have a membership with Swim Central and must hold a WWCC valid up until the last day of the meet.

Late applications *may apply after the original deadline, however, will incur a higher late application fee of $95.

**If your application is declined, your money will be refunded less any transaction fees.

Your application will be reviewed, and an outcome will be provided in a timely manner.

Applications must be pre-approved by Swimming Australia and will not be accepted on the day of competition.

Those applying for media accreditations are subject to approval from Swimming Australia. Access to athletes and coaches is via the mixed zone, or with prior approval from Swimming Australia media manager. There will be no access on pool deck except from designated, and signed, media areas.
Swimming Australia has adopted a Working With Children check (Blue Card in Qld) as a prerequisite for media covering The Australian Trials. A current Blue Card, or equivalent from your port of origin, is required and a scanned copy MUST be provided before your application is processed.

Additionally: Media attending must provide details of their publication, and signed confirmation of their assignment from Chief of Staff or Editor, with contact details.
No media is allowed to film or video the Australian Trials, outside of those approved by the commercial broadcast manager. A breach of this will result in accreditation being revoked.

Swimming Australia retains the right to revoke accreditation if accreditation is put to improper use; if it is determined that the accreditation has not been used to cover the event; it has been used to abuse the privileges so extended. The press pass must not be loaned to another person.
